On behalf of the Ria whanau, we would like to acknowledge all those who came to honour and pay homage to our beloved wife, mother, nan, sister, aunty and friend, Ngaire Ria (nee Williams). To those who travelled from near and afar. From the remote North to the Deep South and everywhere in between. Who carried the love and prayers of our absent friends and whanau with you all. Your presence strengthened us. We thank you! To those who gave abundantly in all currencies with your time, food, service and monetary donations. Your contributions sustained us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We love and thank you! To those who gave without hesitation, who surrounded us at home, attended to our every need and requests as we navigated the matrix of our emotional grief, we felt loved and supported. We thank you! To our whanau who received us onto Whakato Marae, our constant and dedicated hapuu and Iwi leaders. Thank you for embracing us, guiding us and being a part of our journey. We sensed your compassion, we felt your embracement, we saw your commitment and contributions across the board. To our haahi ministers who maintained our faith and led us in prayer with ease and passion. We are truly humbled, we thank you! To the multitudes of community healthcare services and healthcare individuals who provided us with the utmost respect and care during the last few weeks and days of our Maama's life. Like our whanau, there are too many of you to thank individually. None the less, we appreciate you all. Thank you! We keep you all in our prayers and hearts. May your blessings be tenfold. With love from Barry and Whanau...xo
